In 1969, following his success in Oliver! and his signing to do H R Pufnstuf, Jack was put under contract by Capitol Records, and Brian Lane produced his first album.Capitol decided to play it safe and called it ‘The Jack Wild Album. Jack’s first single, ‘Some Beautiful’/ ‘Picture of You’ was released in the UK in spring 1970 and charted for 2 weeks, reaching number 46 in the top fifty. His second and third albums were ‘Everything’s Coming Up Roses’ and ‘Beautiful World’ (called ‘Punch and Judy’ in some countries), and were released by Buddah Records.
